Atlantic Toyota customers have learned Toyota is partnering with Clear Channel to bring iheartradio to Toyota vehicles in 2011.
Atlantic Toyota shoppers and all Toyota shoppers will have another bonus available to them when shopping for Toyota vehicles.
According to a press release, Toyota Motor Sales has announced it is making arrangements with Clear Channel to integrate iheartradio into chosen Toyota vehicles in the early months of 2011. Approximately 750 stations and additional select content may be accessed through iheartradio.
Atlantic Toyota customers should know the full details of this mobile application integration will be revealed in January 2011 at the Consumer Electronics show. Consumers definitely have gravitated toward the iheartradio mobile app and the total number of users is more than 10 million.
Jon Bucci, vice president advanced technology of TMS, said in a press release, “Personalization is important to our customers. Delivering iHeartradio in the vehicle will allow our owners to customize their drive-time experience.”
Atlantic Toyota customers will be able to integrate their personal playlists. They’ll also be able to listen to radio channels hosted by celebrities, local traffic reports and radio shows without the commercials.
John Hogan, Clear Channel president and CEO, said in the same press release, “Our iheartradio service is a perfect fit for the car, offering literally hundreds of radio stations and dozens of programming genres to choose from – whether that is your hometown favorite you grew up with, a station in the city you are driving in, or a category of music or information that engages you.  You’ll be able to have your favorite entertainment, nationally or locally, with real time traffic updates.”
