When it comes to automakers with the most repeat business, Long Island Toyota dealers will be pleased to know Toyota is one at the top.
Long Island Toyota dealers such as Atlantic Toyota and Toyota of Huntington, and dealers across the country, are thankful for the repeat business of loyal customers.
When it comes to cars being traded in, Toyota and Ford are leading the battle. Fifty-eight percent of Toyota car owners stick to the same brand when the time comes to buy a new car. Ford, on the other hand, comes in at a close second. Fifty-six percent of all Ford car owners trade-in their cars for another unit of the same brand. Hyundai comes in third, with a little under 56 percent.
Among all the domestic brands, Chevrolet comes in second with 45 percent. Dodge comes in third with 38 percent of car owners trading in their car for one with the same make.
Among all the imported brands, Honda comes in second to Toyota with 51 percent. Infiniti receives only 14 percent trading in their unit for one with the same brand.
Long Island Toyota dealers and other Toyota dealers are grateful to loyal consumers because although the first three months of 2009 showed that the company’s numbers went down by more than 2 points, Toyota was, and still is, a leading brand.
Toyota recently suffered from several large recalls and was also charged a fine of over $16 million from safety regulators. The fine was for delay in notifying authorities regarding items affecting the gas pedals of its vehicles, such as improper floor mats.
Toyota dealers across the country, including Long Island Toyota dealers offer incentives for leases, aggressive financing and a loyalty program. The loyalty program includes free maintenance for two years for all current Toyota car owners.
