MI Infiniti drivers may be affected by Nissan Infiniti G35 recall due to air bag vulnerability.
MI Infiniti owners should know almost 135,000 Inifiniti G35 sedan and coupe MI Infiniti drivers are at risk of losing a valuable safety feature during a crash: the deployment of the air bag.
Nissan announced Tuesday (May 4, 2010) that it is recalling G35 Coupes from years 2005 to 2007, and G35 Sedans from 2005 to 2006. According to the Associated Press, Colin Price, a Nissan spokesman, said no injuries have been reported.
The potential failure in deployment of the airbag could arise from the wearing down of the air bag unit’s wire harness located under the front seat.
