MI Autos have a new foe to fear other than fuel pump prices. Bee-lieve it or not, bees are the new obstacle to driving satisfaction.
HOLLAND, MICH. – MI Autos owners probably think the last place anyone expects to find a swarm of bees is on the front bumper of their SUV, but that’s exactly what Tanya Young of Hudsonville was told by her husband, according to a recent article in The Grand Rapids Press.
Her vehicle was chosen among many other available MI Autos on the street that day. Approximately 15,000 bees descended upon Young’s Honda vehicle, completely obscuring the left corner of the bumper, and requiring the assistance of a beekeeper named Jim Zoerner and associate Harvey De Ridder.
No one knew why the bees congregated on the Honda’s bumper but neighbors said the insects began to arrive after being “startled” from afternoon rain.
The bees’ new home will be with Harvey De Ridder, until a permanent location can be found, most likely with blueberry farmers, and we hope far away from other MI Autos.
